NeedNexus visits Worthington group for seniors

by Chris 25. July 2011 06:08

Representatives from NeedNexus took part in a meeting Thursday morning at the Griswald Center for Seniors in Worthington.

The meeting was designed to launch the city’s new S.A.L.T. program, which is designed to have the community work with local police and fire agencies to help promote health and safety for its senior citizens.

“We were able to explain how we could be a helpful service to the community and relayed our mission to keep work within the Worthington area,” Business Development Manager Julie Fuller said. “The seniors asked lots of questions about our screening process for our vendors. We assured our audience that we speak with each vendor directly through our screening process to identify their credentials.”

After the meeting, the seniors left with bags provided by NeedNexus and a goal to find Needs.

An easy way to clean up

by Chris 22. July 2011 09:01

It’s not easy to clean your room, let alone an apartment.

In this ad, a child was promised a trip to Chuck E Cheese’s if they cleaned their room, but life isn’t always that easy.

You can sign up to have your home or apartment cleaned at http://www.neednexus.com

If you post your Need today, we’ll also give you a $5 Starbucks gift card.

Man! It’s hot outside.

Wednesday’s Columbus Dispatch featured an article saying today’s heat index is expected to reach 107 degrees.

It’s hard to make headway on home projects when it’s really warm.

This is where NeedNexus comes in to help.

Post your Need on http://www.neednexus.com for free and we’ll help you find a Central Ohio service provider to bid on your project.

And if you post your Need today, we’ll give you a $5 Starbucks gift card.

"Friday Night Lights" examines the cost of moving

by Chris 19. July 2011 11:10

I’m not a big fan of moving.

Last Friday’s series finale of NBC’s “Friday Night Lights” ended up with Coach Eric Taylor and his wife, Tami , moving to Philadelphia for her new job as Dean of Admissions at Braemore University.

Although I thought it was commendable that Taylor left his job to follow his wife, moving can be expensive.

Which moving company do you hire? Are there last-second cleaning or repair items that need done before moving day?

If you find yourself in the Taylor family’s shoes, try http://www.NeedNexus.com

You can post a Need for free and we’ll find service providers to bid on your project.

It’s up to you to pick your favorite bid.

And just for trying out our service and posting a Need, we’ll give you a $5 Starbucks gift card.

It’s a winning combination any football coach would like.

You don't have to call around to get quotes, you can get the best combination of price and quality by just posting a Need on http://www.NeedNexus.com

Roundup of our contest, referral opportunities

by Traci 13. July 2011 08:17

Over the past few days, we’ve posted a variety of ways to connect with us and ways you can get involved with how we're connecting with the community.

Here’s a roundup.

We currently have two separate drawings.

One drawing is a weekly contest in which we give a $50 VISA gift card to the highest value qualified need posted that week. The other drawing is a monthly

contest that involves all buyers who posted a qualified need within that month. We aill pick one person at random who will also win a $50 VISA gift card.

We also have smaller incentive-based ways the community can continue to get involved with NeedNexus. If you register with us, we’ll pay $1 for each need you

refer to our web site. In addition to that, we have a fund-raising program where we pay non-profits $3 for each need they refer to us.

Furthermore, we are giving away a $25 VISA gift card at random each month to a social media follower on our Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn accounts.

For more information on any of these opportunities, contact Business Development Executive Chris Pugh at (614) 888-8801 or e-mail at cpugh@neednexus.com.
